Clear wandering beetles and reach the gate. Eight named gardens introduce new layouts, longer blasts and quicker beetles. Crates break; stone walls remain.

Start with two bombs and a three-second fuse. Blasts reach two squares (three in Long Reach, Beetle Crossing and Last Lantern), stop at walls or the first crate, and trigger other bombs. A visible countdown stays above your feet after planting.

Crates reveal powerups: + adds a bomb slot, ✹ extends future bombs, and ◈ refills your shield. Upgrades last for this garden, with up to four bombs and four-square reach. Wait for flames to fade before collecting; later blasts destroy exposed powerups.

Green beetles patrol. From Crossfire onward, the copper beetle chases you within six squares. Lure it toward a bomb, leave yourself a turn behind stone, and retreat before the blast.

Each garden gives one shield: your first hit grants two seconds to escape; another hit ends the round. Escape your own bombs! Pause is immediate; returning to the tab or restoring a saved game requires Resume. Restart is free.
